The Children’s Ministries of Christ United Methodist Church are committed to nurturing children to know the unconditional love of Jesus Christ in a welcoming, family-centered environment that will equip each child for a continuing journey of exploring, living and sharing God’s promises. We encourage the children to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We strive to make our facilities and activities a safe place for each child. Adults are encouraged to become involved in our ministry through their commitment of time and prayer. Making our Children’s Ministry what God would have it to be is our goal.

Our goal is to provide an age-appropriate curriculum that establishes a firm foundation of growth for the child physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. With “You, Me, and Jesus make Three” curriculum, infants and toddlers will learn by experiencing the environment through their senses (seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and feeling), by physically moving around and through social interactions.

Non-mobile infants actually are very aware of their environment; therefore, adults will sing, talk and introduce them to their surroundings. Mobile infants and toddlers increasingly use toys, language, and other learning material in their play in order to develop their skills. Our curriculum for 3-year-olds emphasizes language, listening skills, gross and fine motor skill development. The 4-year-olds will also develop their language, gross and fine motor skills as well as listening and problem solving skills.

All these learning experiences are designed to enhance child development and will be delivered in a loving Christian based atmosphere by hands–on activities, circle time, center time, music time, art time, science time and play time. Your child will receive individual attention as much as possible and will be given the incentive to learn and grow through self discovery and at his or her own pace. Each child will be encouraged to offer ideas, share experiences and talk about feelings. Children will grow in their understanding and appreciation of both God’s love for them and their special uniqueness in God’s eyes. The mom’s day out children will participate in art and music. The preschool children will participate in chapel, phonics, sports, music, and field trips.
